Starting Off On the Right Foot

I like to think, read and write quite a bit on the issues surrounding the Catholic faith. I decided that a blog would be a good way to stimulate conversation on many of the things on the horizon for me. I have in mind 1 Peter 3:15b-16:

Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope, but do it with gentleness and reverence, keeping your conscience clear, so that, when you are maligned, those who defame your good conduct in Christ may themselves be put to shame.

I think a lot of people who quote 1 Peter 3:15 most frequently forget the last half of the sentence, and I am (occasionally, at least) no exception. I might add 1 Peter 4:8 as well:

Above all hold unfailing your love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins.
